"This book is as outrageous as any true life tabloid scandal―and is a must read!"
―Jenny McCarthy, talk show host, actress and New York Times-bestselling author of Belly Laughs
No one knows her name, but now everyone wants to.
As an assistant publicist in Hollywood, Nicola spends her days (and nights) sweeping up the scandals of singers, movie stars, and TV actors. Fresh from Ohio, she’s rapidly discovering the real Hollywood is rotten under its glittering skin. Everyone is a hustler with a hard bottom line and a soap opera sob story.
When she breaks her own rules and starts dating a movie star, the Los Angeles scene starts to spill into her own life. As the paparazzi begin the hunt for sexy star Seamus O’Riordan’s new mystery girl, Nicola’s best friend Billy has her back while he prowls parties for the latest scoop to sell to the tabloids. Her roommate Kara keeps tabs on things too―in between befriending a former child star and transforming herself from stylist to reality TV sensation.
As the scandals pile up behind them, their pasts will be exposed… And every secret can be sold.
Written by two Hollywood insiders, Kevin Dickson and Jack Ketsoyan, Blind Item's jaw-dropping scandals are real, but the names are not. And they’ll never tell.

I did not think that this would work, my best friend showed me this website, and it does! I get my most wanted eBook
I found out about Playster in the New York times and I'm very happy about it: “One of the newest contenders in the crowded field, a company based in Montreal called Playster, offers music, games, TV shows, movies and e-books through its service. Playster recently struck a deal with HarperCollins to include 14,000 backlist books in its service.”
My friends are so mad that they do not know how I have all the high quality ebook which they do not!
I stumbled upon Playster 2 months ago. I've upgraded to a premium membership already. The platform now carries audiobooks from: Simon & Schuster, Macmillan, HarperCollins UK, Recorded Books, Tantor, and Highbridge. HarperCollins US titles are already in the library. Great service.
so many fake sites. this is the first one which worked! Many thanks

Los Angeles finally gets the “Tales of the City” treatment
By Paul Amirault
With echoes of “Notting Hill,” “The Devil Wears Prada” (movie version), and “Wag the Dog”—as well as Armistead Maupin’s beloved “Tales of the City” books—Kevin Dickson and Jack Ketsoyan’s new novel, "Blind Item," is a hilarious insider look at the Hollywood scene—with all its glittering and garish parts.
The plot follows three twentysomething friends trying to make it in the entertainment capital of the world—without destroying their moral compasses. This gives the writers an opportunity to shine a spotlight on Tinseltown’s underbelly—and the outrageous parties, secret fetishes, celebrity coddling and strange alliances that routinely play out behind the scenes.
But the book really hits its delicious stride when it focuses on the thrilling game of one-upsmanship waged by savvy industry publicists against their adversaries (both paparazzi and competitor), as they struggle for power and the right to control “the story.”
The writing is intelligent, incisive, and often, laugh out loud funny. The characters are well-drawn and likable—even the most roguish among them. And while settling for a straight-up "Cinderella" tale might have been an easier path for Dickson and Ketsoyan to take, happily, they opted for realism instead—which makes "Blind Item" an engaging page-turner until the very end.

Scandal, Glamour, Love, Lust and Friendship in Hollywood
By Miss L K Kelk
There's a much longer essay just waiting to be written about this book but for now it will have to suffice to say, I loved it. To sum it up entirely inadequately, Blind Item is a book about how the showbiz sausage is made - through the eyes of three friends and Hollywood up-and-comers, Nicola the publicist, Kara the stylist and Billy the source, we find out exactly what it takes (and who it breaks) to make it in Tinsel Town. Beneath the scandal and the glamour and the gossip, there's a touching story of friendship, loyalty and respect that really makes the Hollywood machine tick (and some of it is pretty ugly) but Dickson and Ketsoyan's story is so readable, it pulls you along for the ride from the very first page. And I have to admit, I definitely googled some of the scandals referenced in the book and wow. Just wow.
Most importantly, it taught me how all these girls I see running around Hollywood (and New York and London) in extortionately expensive shoes are paying for them. Entertaining and informative! What a winner.

Loved my time with this book
By Amazon Customer
As a new mom I don't get much time alone much less any real "adult" time. I got this book because I love juicy gossip. Every night after I put my baby to bed I get some alone time, just me and this book. I love it. It took me a few nights to read it but I looked foraward to it every time. I wish I knew all the real names to all the juicy stories. I substituted some faces where I thought they belonged and I hope I'm right. Can't wait for this to be made into a series or movie.
